Populaire Series / Rouleur Award

Raleigh Region Populaires / Rouleur Award Rides:  2024

The Rouleur Award is a calendar year award that requires a RUSA member to complete five events:
  • a Populaire of 100-124 kms.
  • a Populaire of 125-149 kms.
  • a Populaire of 150-199 kms.
  • a Dart-Populaire (120 kms team event).
  • a domestic ACP or RUSA certified Brevet of 200-220 kms.
For more information regarding the RUSA Rouleur Award, click here

Anyone completing all five events in the same calendar year earns the Rouleur Award and is entitled to the Patch shown immediately below.
The Rouleur Patch.

Note that a Populaire is a scheduled event (i.e., brevet) of 100-199 kms.
A Permanent-Populaire is a route / ride that is a Permanent of 100-199 kms
Although Permanent-Populaires count towards attaining many RUSA awards such as the RUSA P-12 Award, RUSA annual distance awards, and RUSA lifetime distance awards, Perm-Pops do NOT count toward the Rouleur Award.

To ride in these events:
  • you must be a current RUSA member,
  • you must sign and turn-in the waiver before the ride,
  • you must pay the event entry fee before the ride.

Raleigh Region Populaires / Rouleur Award Rides:

The Raleigh Region is putting on the Brevet-Populaires needed to qualify one for the new-ish Rouleur Award (designed to help new members transition to longer rides and brevet protocols (and also help veteran members returning to riding rando)).

[It is also likely that the requisite Brevet-Populaires, a Dart-Populaire, and a RUSA 200-220 km Brevet will be added to the schedule for the Summer/Autumn/Winter months.]:

Note that one must be a RUSA member to participate in any of these rides (click here to check your membership status or join/re-join RUSA).

Also note that these rides are self-supported -- do NOT expect volunteers on the course
